Direct Payment
Property taxes can be automatically deducted from your checking or savings account. Direct Debit is Meeker County's automated program that allows you to sign up to have your property tax payments automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account on the tax installment due dates on an ongoing basis. We take the account information that you provide in your enrollment and deduct your payments directly through your financial institution.

To enroll, download and complete our online Direct Payment Authorization Form (PDF). Print and mail your completed form to the address indicated. Also, review the Direct Payment Policies and Procedures (PDF).

If you are unable to complete and print the form online, you may contact us at 320-693-5345 and request that Direct Debit Enrollment materials be mailed to you, or you may stop in our office and complete the materials here.
Escrowed Account
Your lending institution may be escrowing your taxes for you. This means that you are paying a portion of your property tax in every mortgage payment you make to them. Your tax money is being kept in a special escrow account. The escrow agent at your mortgage company is responsible for paying your property taxes by the due date.

If you aren't certain if your taxes are escrowed, contact your mortgage company or lending institution. Meeker County Treasurer sends you the property tax statement for your records and also sends the payment information to your mortgage company or lending institution.
In Person
Property taxes can be paid by check or cash at the Meeker County Courthouse in the Treasurer's Office located on the 4th Level.

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
