The Meeker County Sheriff's Office Investigative Division is comprised of 3 divisions as follows:
Criminal Investigations Division
Three deputies are assigned to investigate serious criminal activity such as theft, burglary, robbery, arson, death cases, physical assaults, sexual assaults, computer crimes, financial crimes, fraud, child abuse/neglect, vulnerable adult crimes, and welfare fraud. This division is responsible for tracking Registered Predatory Offenders and assisting local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in their investigations.
Drug Investigation Division
One deputy is assigned to a multi-jurisdictional drug task force called CEE-VI. This deputy cooperates with other local, state, and federal drug units in their effort to detect and apprehend drug offenders.
Gang Investigation Division
One deputy is assigned to the Minnesota Gang Strike Force. The Minnesota Gang Strike Force was created to identify, investigate, arrest and prosecute gang members engaged in criminal activity in the State of Minnesota.
Each investigative division of the Meeker County Sheriff's Office is responsible for processing crime scenes as well as evidence collection, identification, and preservation.
