Employee Recognition Awards
Sheriff Jeff Norlin is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2012 Employee Recognition Awards. A decoration is awarded annually in recognition of performance of duty, heroism, or high achievement or service.

For 2012, Deputy Marc Berris is the recipient of the Sheriff's Achievement Award. Rebecca Miller of the County's IT (Information Technology), assigned to the Sheriff's Office, is receiving an Exceptional Service Award. Two individuals, Deputy Bill Hudson and Litchfield Police Officer Aaron Nelson, are also being recognized for a life-saving event that occurred on February 17, 2013.

National Peace Officer's Week
On Thursday, May 17, 2012, at 9 a.m. the Meeker County Sheriff's Office observed National Peace Officer's Week for 2012. This year the family of Deputy Edward Eades was invited for a special ceremony in honor of Deputy Eades, who died on October 8, 1962. A black granite memorial plaque will be on permanent display inside the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center.
