Meeker County Property Records, Taxation and Elections

The office covers the duties with Statute reference to the County Recorder and Registrar of Titles. The County Board of Commissioners appoints individual for the position.  

The office is the caretaker of all records of the county pertaining to land titles and transfers.   Various forms of deeds, mortgages, bankruptcies, mechanical liens, federal and state tax liens, probate papers, corporate name changes, plat maps and official military discharge (DD214) are recorded and maintained.  The Recorder files all documents pertaining to Abstract and Torrens property, accepts receipts, indexes, and verifies each document before scanning and preserving as historical records.  

Public Information
All of the records in this office are considered public information and as such, are used by many people such as abstract companies, bankers, and private individuals.

Research

Meeker County does NOT abstract nor perform title searches. Our records can be viewed Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at our office. Occasional users can access our records back to 1/1/1987 through Tapestry. Daily, professional users will find that a subscription to Laredo will be more cost effective for on-line searches. Passports

The Meeker County Recorder's Office is an acceptance agent for passport applicants. Our passport department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It is necessary, however, that you make an appointment with us before you come in. No passport applications will be accepted after 3:00 p.m. See the Passports tab on the left sidebar for detailed information of passport requirements. Do you speak ENGLISH?
