Requirements

Live in Meeker County Minnesota
Live in a house or apartment which has at least two bedrooms and meet fire safety codes
Be at least 21 years old
Be single or a couple
Have enough income to meet your own family's needs
Have experience as a caregiver, or be willing to learn if you don't have experience
Not use corporal punishment
All household family members welcome having a child in the home and support the licensing process
Agree to keep all information shared confidential
Participate in a series of home visits to complete the home study
Attend required training
Complete the application materials:
Submit to a fingerprint check for all household members age 13 and over
Provide 3 personal references
Submit a statement regarding the physical, mental and chemical health of all household members
