History
The Meeker County Sheriff's Mounted Posse was reformed in 1988 under the direction of Kim Johnson. Formal meetings by the Posse began in 1989. The Meeker County Sheriff's Mounted Posse is an all-volunteer organization and all members own their own horses.
Our Mission
The purpose of the Meeker County Sheriff's Mounted Posse is to:

Aid in maintaining public peace through a visible presence
- Assist the Meeker County Sheriff's Office
- Devote time & effort to community service
- Use horsemanship as a benefit to other
