Along with state and federal agencies, Meeker County Emergency Management participates in weather education. Each November, Emergency Management offers public announcements to inform the community of winter hazards. Each April, Emergency Management offers public announcements regarding tornadoes and other spring and summer hazards.

The Civil Defense Warning System is tested on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 1 p.m. It is designed for outdoor warning only, and is not designed to penetrate buildings.
