Pregnancy & Baby Support

Public Health nurses provide no cost home visits during pregnancy and to parents of newborns to provide parenting education and community resources. Ongoing visits are offered to parents wanting to learn more about parenting techniques, child growth and development, and other topics. Please call MCPH for more information 320.693.5370​

SHNFP




Supporting Hands Nurse-Family Partnership (SHNFP) is free support to eligible first-time moms. Your SHNFP Nurse will be able to provide you with the support you may need to have a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby, and be the best mom you want to be. For more information, please visit SHNFP 

Project Harmony

Project Harmony, grant-funded through the Department of Human Services, supports pregnant and parenting women find and embrace a path of recovery from substance use. A Public Health Nurse and a Peer Recovery Specialist help women reduce barriers to sobriety and provide support for healthy parenting. This project serves women who are pregnant and/or parenting kids birth to age 10.If you or someone you know would benefit from Project Harmony, please contact the county of residence for more information or to make a referral.
